About Us

Melvin Pharmacy, is a locally and privately owned Chemist situated near Lough Melvin, Garrison, Co Fermanagh. It is approximately 1km from Rossinver in Co Leitrim and 9km from Belleek in Co Fermanagh. Melvin Pharmacy is very patient focused and offers a variety of services, most of which are available free of charge to NHS patients.

Melvin Pharmacy is owned by local woman Siobhan McNulty. Siobhan qualified from John Moores University in Liverpool in 2004, and carried out her pre registration in the Alderhey Childrens Hospital in Liverpool. After returning to Northern Ireland, she opened Melvin Pharmacy in 2009. Siobhan is an independent prescriber, meaning she can write prescriptions for certain ailments, such as urinary tract infections. Siobhan also works part time in a GP surgery, providing support to GP’s around issues of medication and prescribing.

Siobhan has a particular interest in asthma, and has completed a diploma in asthma on top of her Masters Degree in Pharmacy. She also has a keen interest in women’s health and menopause, and is a member of the British Menopause Society.

Melvin Pharmacy has won and been nominated for numerous awards over the years, whilst Siobhan was awarded “The Diabetes UK Unsung Hero 2019” for her work in diabetes.

Opening Hours

Monday–Friday: 9:30am – 5:30pm and closed 1pm – 1:30pm for lunch

Saturday: 10.00am–3:00pm no lunch time closure on Saturdays.

Sundays and Bank Holidays Closed
