Period Delay Service
Whether you have a holiday, special occasion or important event coming up, our In-Store Period Delay Service at Melvin Pharmacy offers a convenient and confidential way to discuss delaying your period.
Our service involves a face-to-face consultation with a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber, who will assess your medical history and determine whether period delay medication is suitable for you.
For eligible patients, medication may be prescribed to delay your period for up to 17 days.
How Does the Service Work?
- Book Your Consultation by contacting the pharmacy here.
- In-Store Consultation – Attend a confidential, face-to-face consultation where your medical history and suitability for treatment will be assessed.
- Treatment – If appropriate, medication will be prescribed and supplied, with guidance on how and when to take it.
Who Is Eligible?
To be considered for this service, you must:
- Be aged 16–50 years.
- Not be pregnant or currently breastfeeding.
- Have regular menstrual cycles.
- Have no medical conditions or contraindications that would make period delay medication unsuitable, such as a history of blood clots, certain liver conditions or hormone-sensitive cancers.
Please note: This is not an exhaustive list of eligibility requirements. The Pharmacist Independent Prescriber will assess your individual circumstances and determine whether treatment can be safely provided. Medication is not guaranteed following consultation.
