Collection: Womens Wellness Weekend

Melvin Pharmacy is hosting its first ever Women's Wellness Weekend.

We've invited guest speakers and experts in their field to talk about prevalent women's health issues.

This will be a fun afternoon of health information,  heart warming music and mouth watering finger food.

Our confirmed speakers are Oonagh O Hagan, Meagher Pharmacy and Symprove Ireland; Dee Hamill, nutritionist; and Dr Andrea Latimer, GP and Hormone Specialist. More speakers to be confirmed. 

Oonagh O Hagan, is a pharmacist and is the owner of Meaghers Pharmacy Group, based in Dublin. Oonagh has a special interest in Gut Health and will talk about the gut microbiome and the importance of bacteria for our health. Oonagh is a phenomenonal speaker, and has spoken on Morning AM, RTE radio stations and at many prestigious events about Gut Health. 

Dr Andrea Latimer is a GP and has a specialist interest in womens health and menopause.  Andrea will talk about female hormones from puberty to post menopause. Andrea will outline the hormonal changes a woman can expect to experience in each of these life stages, and the best way to embrace and manage these changes. Andrea regularly talks at workplace events about Menopause in the workplace. 

And our final speaker for now (more to be confirmed) is Dee Hamill. Dee is a nutritionist. Dee will outline how an optimal diet and lifestyle support can ensure better health outcomes and allow us to live better for longer.

There will be an opportunity to chat with the speakers informally throughout the day, and there will also be a Q&A session. 

We will also have representatives from Symprove Ireland, FabU and Revive on the day. You will be able to purchase an array of supplements at a reduced price (card payments only) on the day. These will include

The events is being held in the new Melvin Resource and Recreational Centre (MRRC), which is the old holiday centre. It is a brand new venue and is superb.

Doors will open at 1pm on Sunday September 22nd and the event will commence at 1:30 pm sharp. It is a Women's only event and no one under the age of 16 will be permitted. The event will end at 5pm. Refreshments will be served throughout the day including tea/coffee, scones, sandwiches and an array of fossies. 

The cover charge per person for the event is £30. eTickets will be on sale soon via eventbrite. Tickets will ONLY be onsale online. 

This is a ticketed event and numbers are limited. There MAY be an opportunity to add additional seats/dates if demand exceeds expectations, but this is not confirmed.
